Student Visa Application Fee (from 01/07/2025):
The Department of Home Affairs charges a base fee of AUD $2,000.00 for a student visa application (Subclass 500). Additional Applicant Charges:
Applicant aged 18 or over: AUD $1,225.00
Applicant under 18: AUD $400.00
If the primary or secondary applicant is currently in Australia and has previously held a visa, a Subsequent Application Charge of AUD $700 per applicant may apply. The Department of Home Affairs accept MasterCard, VISA, AMEX, and JCB (including debit and prepaid cards). A 1.40% surcharge applies to all.Note: You must pay the full application fee in one transaction--only one card can be used per payment.

Are there extra fees for dependents on a student visa?
Yes. If you include dependents (family members) in your student visa application, additional charges apply:

Dependent under 18 years: AUD $400.00
