Read our interview with Patrick for his top tips on moving down under... What inspired you to apply for a student visa? After travelling and working around Australia for two years on a working holiday visa, I decided to stay longer in Australia. I chose to study something that interests me and will prove useful for my future. What have you loved about Australia so far?I love that Australia is such a massive country with approximately 26 million people. It has almost every climate known to earth so nature and wildlife here is very diverse. You have the desert, rain, forest, snow in the mountains... I've travelled all around Australia and lived in almost every state - even on some of the islands such as Hamilton Island and Fitzroy Island. I ended up in Sydney and love it here. I'm currently living in the forest just a 30-minute drive from the city and a 15-minute drive from the beach. Sydney is also an incredible city that has plenty of beautiful beaches and national parks. How did Study Online Australia help you to find the right course?Study Online Australia took the time to explore my interests and offered me lots of different options to see what would suit me best. I made my decision on what to study based on their recommendations and what will be useful for my future. How did you find the student visa process? The student visa process is pretty easy once you know what you like to study and at which school. What advice would you give to readers wanting to study in Australia?First, think about what you like to study or what skill/qualification will be useful for your future. Look at the different schools in your area which offer the course you are interested in. Then, compare the prices, quality of the course and check if they have a timetable that suits your work schedule the best.
