Q&A with Lu-Elle, who is currently studying Hospitality in Cairns

As part of our Q&A series, Study Online Australia had the pleasure of speaking to Lu-Elle who is currently studying for her Diploma of Hospitality in Cairns.

Originally from the UK, Lu-Elle moved to Australia for a new life and later went on to study Certificate III in Hospitality in order to progress her career.

​What inspired you to apply for a student visa?

I decided to apply for a student visa as I knew I wanted to stay in Australia and it was an opportunity to further my knowledge in hospitality management.

​What have you loved about Australia so far?

The thing I’ve loved the most about Australia so far is the amazing space, I come from a city back home so to have such a big back garden is amazing! The weather's amazing and the people are amazing too!

If you want to study in Australia, make sure to find a course that’s going to strengthen your knowledge of something you already love doing. Since completing my Certificate III and Diploma in Hospitality, I've had a lot more confidence at work.

Whilst studying in Australia, I’ve also started a new business venture called Lu-Elle Handmade. It’s currently only on Instagram but I’m looking to make a website soon.
